Two-time Grammy award-winning artist and eighth-generation Louisiana Creole Terrance Simien has been shattering the myths about what his indigenous Zydeco roots music is and is not. Simien and his Zydeco Experience band have played over 7,000 concerts in more than 45 countries. They performed their original song “Dance Everyday” in the Warner Brothers film The Lucky One and “Gonna Take You There” in Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. Terrance and his bandmates have shared studio and stage with Robert Palmer, Stevie Wonder, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, the Meters, Alan Toussaint, Paul Simon and Dave Matthews Band, to name a few.
