The second concert in the STS Season 16 series is devoted to music heard on ‘the big screen’.
The first part of the program features classical themes utilized in film, including works by Brahms, Bach, Offenbach, Barber, Copland and Beethoven. All themes that are familiar to our ear, while evoking images from film and stage.
Following intermission, contemporary music from well known movies (ex.: Raiders of the Lost Ark, ET and Jurassic Park) and stage productions (My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera…)will be presented.
