Join the Quick Center as we present teaching artist Sandy Shelenberger in conjunction with our newest exhibition “3D Expression: A Textile Art Exhibition from Studio Art Quilt Associates,” as she offers a beginner’s class in Shibori techniques for dyeing fabrics.
Come create wearable art, like scarves and reusable bags, or design a piece of patterned fabric that can be cut into blocks and attached to canvas for a beautiful piece of wall art or sewn together to create quilt like designs or pillows.

About the Artist:
Sandy Shelenberger is an artist from Conneaut, OH whose textile art has been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally. Sandy teaches dyeing and surface design techniques on fabric, as well as hosting workshops that explore using encaustic and multimedia techniques. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for the creative process. She will lead participants in Shibori techniques, manual resist patterns such as binding, twisting, or clamping, for cloth that will then be dyed in Indigo.
