The Genesee Dance Theatre returns to the David A. Howe Public Library this December with its annual production of The Nutcracker. This beloved holiday ballet, based on the story by E.T. A. Hoffmann and set to Tchaikovsky’s famous score, is brought to life by a cast of more than 20 dancers from around the region including professional dancer Beau Hutchings in the title role. Choreographed specifically for the Howe stage by artistic director Sarah Keeler Badger, The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition that will delight and enchant the whole family.
Performances are December 8th at 7pm, December 9th at 2pm and 10th at 2pm in the Nancy Howe Auditorium. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the performance. This production is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Library and is free and open to the public.
