Composer Stephen Schwartz is considered by many to be underrated and underappreciated. You might not recognize his name, but unless you’ve been living under a rock, you sure know his music! An American composer with a career spanning four decades, Schwartz wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway megahit Wicked. He also wrote the music and lyrics for Pippin, Godspell and Rags, as well as for the lesser-known Fosse, Working, The Magic Show and The Baker’s Wife. In this special musical revue, some of Chautauqua County’s finest singers come together to celebrate Schwartz with a rousing performance of his best-loved – as well as his little-known – songs.
