Lily Dale Assembly is pleased to present its 2017 Summer Outdoor Concert Series featuring the Jamestown Harmony Express on Sunday, August 13. The Jamestown Harmony Express is a barbershop chorus chartered by The Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Singing in America). The Jamestown chapter was a dream that became a reality when, in 1986, 71 barbershoppers gathered to form the inaugural Jamestown Harmony Chorus. With a current total of 35, these members sing in quartets and octets, while maintaining their position in the performing chorus, the Jamestown Harmony Express. The chapter’s chorus, quartets and octets continue to promote the unique four-part barbershop harmony with performances through the region as well as at such notable venues as The Welk Resort in Branson, MO; at the Buckeye Invitational, in Columbus, OH; at Chautauqua Institution and even in London, England. This FREE performance will be held on the floating stage anchored behind the Leolyn Hotel on Dale Dr. in Cassadaga.
