The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University in association with Friends of Good Music present a Duo Recital: Barbara Luisi, violin, and Alessandro Taverna, piano.
The duo of violinist Barbara Luisi and the highly praised Venetian pianist Alessandro Taverna is exploring the repertoire of favorite short pieces of music by famous composers.
Their program “Les Images…Encore!” was recently presented in a celebrated appearance at the Venice Opera House, Teatro La Fenice.
Luisi plays a Giovanni Grancino violin from 1700.
Taverna established his international career by winning major prizes at the London International Piano Competition and the Busoni Piano Competition in Bolzano, among many others. Since then, he has performed in some of the most important concert halls.
