Julien Labro: The Art of the Accordion

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University in association with Friends of Good Music present Julien Labro: The Art of the Accordion.

Accordion and bandoneon virtuoso Julien Labro presents an insightful view into the “Art of the Accordion,” from Johann Sebastian Bach to French chansons to Argentinian tangos by Astor Piazzolla.

Labro has established himself as the foremost accordion and bandoneón player in the classical and jazz genres. Deemed to be “a triple threat: brilliant technician, poetic melodist and cunning arranger,” his artistry, virtuosity, and creativity as a musician, composer and arranger have earned him international acclaim.

His musical journey has taken him all across North America, Europe, the Middle East and South America. He has collaborated with numerous symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles.

He will appear as a soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic later this season.
