Hungrytown returns to the Nancy Howe Auditorium stage!
Hailing from Vermont, Hungrytown is comprised of lyricist Rebecca Hall and instrumentalist Ken Anderson. Their music has been inspired by a young friend who left them her collection of 1960’s folk albums and her guitar (which has since been featured on all of their albums). The grit and true to life experiences Hall heard in these traditional ballads are what inspired her lyrics which later became her first songs, aided by Anderson’s musical arrangements. They have toured for over a decade, spending more than half of each year on the road. During this time they have released three albums; Hungrytown (2008), Any Forgotten Thing (2011), and Further West (2015). They have also appeared on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, IFC’s Portlandia, and Netflix’s Lady Dynamite. For more information on this talented duo, you can visit their website, www.hungrytown.net.
