Hoop dance artist Benjamin Berry will be presenting two workshop at the David A. Howe Public Library in Wellsville NY.
In this 60 minute instructional workshop-style program, participants will learn beginner-friendly modern hoop dance techniques. Participants will also be educated about physical, emotional, and social benefits of modern hoop dance. Through body positive programming, they will see for themselves that hoop dance is accessible for all genders, ages, sizes, and levels of ability. Programming promotes an active lifestyle, Social Emotional Learning competencies through individual creative explorations and partner/group activities, and builds community. Benjamin will then end the program with a hoop dance performance to demonstrate the possibilities of the art form.
These free programs are suggested for participants ages 6+, and will be held on the front lawn of the David A. Howe Public Library in Wellsville NY on Monday June 28th at 6pm and Tuesday June 29th at 11am. Space is limited and registration is required.
