The Cattaraugus County Arts Council’s first Free Family Art Day in the fall of 2016 was a huge success! Over 250 parents and children filled the CCAC studio in Allegany to make Halloween-themed projects. Parents and kids had a chance to express their creativity in projects that they could take home with them that same day.
This event demonstrated that there is a real need in the community for FREE art events that serve the entire community, making art experiences accessible to everyone. And the fantastic response meant that we needed to find a bigger space to hold this event in! So we are happy to announce the next Free Family Art Day Saturday, April 22 from 1-4pm sponsored by Fox Financial which will take place at the Olean Center Mall. Finger puppets, pinwheels, a spring painting and Easter-themed yarn pictures will be the projects.  No registration is required for this free event.
