Join us for the 3rd Annual Celebration of the Arts Party on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Bartlett Country Club. The Arts Party is our largest annual fundraiser helping CCAC to provide a whole year of amazing arts programming, advocate for arts and culture in the region, and provide support to local artists with professional development, exhibition and sales opportunities.
The Arts & Cultural Awards were created by CCAC to recognize and celebrate the talents of artists and supporters of the arts throughout Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties. A panel of community members, CCAC Board members and staff reviewed the submitted nominations and chose the winners, who will be recognized at the Celebration of the Arts on April 1, 2017. The individuals and organizations are: Emerging Talent: Bobby Sader; Volunteer of the Year: Betsy Cashing; Supporter of the Arts & Cultural Sector: Peg Bothner; Distinguished Artist of the Year: Debra Eck; Regrant Program of the Year: American-Scandinavian Heritage Foundation; Lifetime Achievement Finalists – honoree will be announced at the event: Marcia Gallineaux-Hubert, Dance Arts; Larry Griffis Jr., Griffis Sculpture Park (posthumous nomination); Carson Waterman, Seneca Nation Fine Artist.
Along with the presentation of the Annual Arts & Cultural Awards the cocktail party also features two entertaining events guests can join in on: a wine pull and silent art auction. Buying a $20 chance gets you into the wine pull. A variety of wines of all price ranges will be part of the drawing. Your $20 could get you a bottle worth $100!
If you want to add to your art collection, the silent auction table will be where you will want to keep an eye on the bidding so you can leave with the original artwork you have coveted all night. There is something for everyone – paintings, a basket, jewelry, fiber, ceramic and wood arts are all represented, The following regional artists have their work in the Silent Auction: Jennifer Miller, Barbara Fox, Bobby Sader, Pamela Delyannis, Pablo Veloz, Karen Fitzpatrick, Linda Georgian, Samila Sosic, Betsy Matz, Cherie Antle, Laura McCormick.
