Beginner wheel throwing class for teens. Patti will teach wedging, coning, centering, opening, enlarge opening, compressing bottom, thin and raise the wall, shaping, compressing the rim, cutting the piece off the wheel, and trimming. You will learn the difference between throwing with and without a bat, with and without a sponge to thin and raise the wall, trimming with and without tools. Basic studio skills including tools required, set up, clean up and glazing. Wow your friends and parents with your finished works! All supplies included. Finished fired piece will be available for pick up no later than 2 weeks after the last class.
