In celebration of the International Year of Glass, Dennis James will perform with AU student musicians

In celebration of the International Year of Glass, Dennis James will perform on Franklin’s Glass Armonica and the Cristal Baschet. Musicians Monica Nowik, flute, Candy Zhou, violin, Lisa Lantz, viola, and Brooklyn Liljehorn, cello will perform Mozart K. 617 Adagio & Rondo for armonica and string quartet.

Students and the local community are also invited to visit The Paul Vickers Gardner Glass Center prior to the concert. between home of some of located inside the Kazuo Inamori Museum of Technical (Fine) Ceramics on the 2ndfloor of Binns Merrill Hall will be open.

The exhibit and demonstrations will be open between 4:30 and 6:45 with “exploding glass demos” at 5:00, 5:45 and 6:30.
