Wooly Trees

Learn to make a wool feather tree that can be used during the Holidays or at any time of the year as a natural tree. The kit comes with all the supplies required. You will be able to select the colors for your tree. This tree is great for Christmas, but also can be made in Fall or Spring colors. Skill level – good finger dexterity. Come to enjoy a new skill, and meet new people and have some fun. This class will take place on Saturday, November 6 from 11 am – 2 pm, and the class is open to anyone ages 14 & up. There is a $5 fee for the class. Participants will need to bring a pair of sharp scissors and will be required to wear a mask during the class. Registration is required and space is limited. This class will be taught by PeggyAnn Watts. She has been both a rug braider and a rug hooker for 30+ years. She is the owner of and teacher for “Belfast Braids,” her business in Belfast. She has taught at both the Valley Forge and New England Braid Ins. Several of her rugs travelled with the “Contemporary Braided Art Rug” show and was displayed in three states. She is a member of the Southern Tier Fiber Artists, the Rug Hookers of the Finger Lakes, and the Belfast Braiders. She enjoys expanding the knowledge and skills of braiding of students, and she hopes they will pass it on to others as well.
