Women in Music: Folk, Rock, Soul, and Blues (Virtual)

Join us as musician Kirsten Thien presents on the history of Women in Music.
This fun and informative live music program follows the impact of women on music in America. From their musical contributions to their struggle for equal pay and recognition, Kirsten covers the early innovators and pioneers, as well as contemporary stars of today and sharing some of her personal journey as a professional touring and recording musician. Part concert, part history, part folklore, Kirsten is accompanied by Erik Boyd on bass and guitar for this one hour program.
This virtual program will be available live via Zoom. It will be live streamed in the Exhibition Room of the library (limited seating), or you can use the link to watch it from the comfort of your home! (http://zoom.us/j/93912140530). This program is free and open to the public. Masks will be required for those attending at the library.
This program is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Regrant Program of the New York State Council of the Arts. This program, with the support of the Governor and the NYS legislature, is administered by the Tri-County Arts Council.
