On Wednesday, October 27, at 7 p.m. in Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall, Alfred University campus, visiting artist Fafnir Adamites will present as part of the Wednesday Artists’ Speaker Series. The lecture will also be broadcast on Zoom.
This talk in the Arts Speaker Series is presented by Sculpture / Dimensional Studies in the School of Art & Design.
Adamites holds an MFA degree from the Fiber and Material Studies Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Photography and Women’s Studies from UMass Amherst. They are currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Fibers area at Indiana University, Bloomington. Their work mixes papermaking, felting, and weaving to create installations which act as meditations on trauma, memory, and generational emotional legacies.
