WALKING WITH HEROES – at Arcade Rural Cemetery, Sunday, May 27, 2018 between 2 and 3:30pm. A self-guided walking tour, this year featuring letters written by World War I veterans’ at their graves. Living veterans or family members stand by the graves of deceased World War I veterans and tell their stories to visitors on this self-guided tour. We encourage family members/ancestors to join us as guides, sharing stories their veteran may have told of their service. This event is an annual collaboration of the Arcade Historical Society, the Arcade American Legion and V.F.W. Posts and Auxilliaries.
