The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University is pleased to present the Tony Award nominated performer Michel Bell as the sixth artist in our annual Visiting Masters Series.
While visiting campus to help open the museum season, Bell will offer an Artist’s Talk on Thursday, September, 27th at 4pm in the Rigas Family Theater, 1st Floor of the Quick Center. He will present a talk on his life and career covering his time as a member of the pop vocal group Fifth Dimension through his Tony Award nominated portrayal of “Joe” in Hal Prince’s production of Show Boat.
Bell has appeared on telecasts from the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Memorial. He has also starred in productions of “Show Boat,” “Riverdance” and “Porgy and Bess” around the world and performed in concerts at many prestigious venues.
Along with the Artist’s Talk, Michel Bell will also open the 2018-2019 Friends of Good Music Concert Series on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 7:30p.m. with a performance of “America in Song: Broadway Star Michel Bell with pianist Catherine Matejka,” performing Show tunes, Opera arias, and Spirituals.
