My Town: An Exploration in Acrylic Paint Skins with Photographic Transfers of Westfield, NY

Using input from fellow residents and lovers of the Westfield, NY area via social media and other outlets, artist Trenton Lutes, will explore and photograph suggested locations through out the Village and Town of Westfield. These images will then be printed and transferred onto large scale acrylic paint skins (up to 4′ x 6′ in size) and displayed at the Octagon Gallery of the Patterson Library located in Westfield, NY. Trenton would like to extend a personal invitation to all residents of Westfield, NY, Chautauqua County, Western New York and beyond.

From the artist:
“I intend to share my vision of my town, Westfield, NY, with my fellow residents as well as others who may wish to learn about and experience more of this beautiful place. I have selected Westfield, NY for several reasons: First, and foremost, this is my town. I was born here, I lived here as a child and now I have returned here with my wife to make a life for the two of us. Second, Westfield is an amazing place; from Barcelona Beach and the Chautauqua Ridge to the grapevines and the gorge there is no place quite like it out there. So, I want to honor its beauty and diversity in the best way I know how; through my art.”

Wine and finger foods will be served during the reception time of 7-9pm on Friday, October 6th.

Works will be on display from Friday, October 6th through Friday, November 3rd.
