Join us to view art created during art therapy, a powerful tool for treating Alzheimer’s. Art therapy gives back to Alzheimer’s patients, in some part, what the disease has taken away. More than creating something pretty to look at or an exercise to keep them busy, it stimulates the brain. It stirs memories and can bring language back into the life of someone who struggles to speak.
Art on Main Gallery, 100 W. Main St., Allegany, NY. Exhibit runs January 19 – February 22, 2019.
Gallery hours: MTWF 9am-6pm; Th 9am-5pm. More information is at myartscouncil.net or call 716-372-7455.
