The Alfred University Orchestra will perform a “Mostly Mozart” featuring student soloists Monica Nowik and Luke Piazza. The concert will take place in the Miller Theater on Friday, April 15 at 7:30 pm. Flutist Monica Nowik is a second-year English major with a minor in Film Studies. She hails from New Providence, NJ, and is currently a student of Mrs. Rachel Decker. Monica will perform the first movement of Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 2 in D major K. 314. Luke Piazza is completing his first year as a Music major and is actively involved in the AU Jazz Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and Orchestra. Originally from Horseheads, NY, Luke is equally talented on both horn and trumpet and is studying with Mr. William Arnts. He will perform the Romance and Rondo from Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 3 in E flat, K. 447. This concert is free and open to the public.
