Buffalo based artist Karle Norman was born into a conservative religious group that emphasized strict adherence to the Bible. He used art as an escape, with hours poured into his sketchbooks. Something he still maintains 20 years later. Karle credits his grandmother, an artist herself, with instilling the desire to maintain a creative practice.
“The Same Inside pieces ask the viewer to look past the external differences that can set us apart from one another. Our anatomy is trying to show us how much we have in common.”-Karle Norman
Michelle Capizzi is a mixed media abstract painter who maintains a studio in Great Valley, NY. She is fascinated by the dialogue among shapes, color, and texture, all interwoven with music. Capizzi worked as a mother, art director, graphic designer, and fashion stylist before returning to painting.
“In Ruminations Rising, the conversation centers on the uplifting energy of renewal, and pondering the rhythm that emerges when connecting to the muse that sets us free. I infuse these moments of joy into layers of paint, hues of positivity, and shapes that stimulate movement in body, mind, and spirit.” – Michelle Capizzi
