A multimedia lecture program starring Noah Diamond; presented with FREE admission as part of Freedonia Marxonia’s 2017 theme, “Broadway and the Marx Brothers” … After Vaudeville, before Hollywood, the Marx Brothers were the toast of Broadway. Their three legitimate stage musicals, I’ll Say She Is, The Cocoanuts, and Animal Crackers, established the team as the darlings of the New York smart set and the pre-eminent jesters of the Jazz Age. In this entertaining and enlightening presentation, noted Marxist Noah Diamond conveys the history of this classic trilogy through video, sound, images, and live recordings.
