About this event
Joined by the writer of The Slow Thought Manifesto, Vincenzo Di Niccola will serve as our “MC” for this event which will offer us a variety of disciplinary methods for…slowing down. Taking on the big questions: “what makes new things possible?” and “how do we seek transformation and find renewal?” Vincenzo offers one simple starting point in response: take your time. For this evening, we invite you to slow down with a little help from the words of Vincenzo, the choreography of Melanie Aceto, and the musical, visual, and movement interpretations of our emerging artists.
Alfred University invites you into this immersive six-day festival MAKING MEANING IN AN UNCERTAIN WORLD, designed to embrace the creativity of the community in collaboration with local and international visiting artist. During the day, participate in workshops hosted by an ensemble of world-renowned artists and join us in the evenings to gather together to watch site-specific performances, installations, and participatory projects.
