Historical Artist Book Forms
Timothy Frerichs will be exhibiting artist books as an element of a 2017 Artist in Community Grant. The displayed books all utilize historical bindings ranging from an early single-quire codex to Carolingian and Chinese stab binding. A number of the books contain artistic concepts. Several are blank binding examples. This exhibit is partially funded by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization grant program supported by Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council.
