3 Historic Book Forms at the Patterson Library, Westfield, NY

Workshop will focus on creating and binding 3 historic book forms (it time allows). Participants will bind a single quire codex, Tacket/limp cover codex, and a Japanese stab-binding book. Each project will be explored as a non-adhesive binding process (although some adhesive will be used for non-binding book elements). Paper, Cover paper, thread, etc will be provided – participants should bring a ruler, scissors, basic pencil, and eraser.
Course limited to 12 participants. Ages 8-adult.

It is recommend people to sign up for both workshops- so that they are able to use their own handmade paper sheets for their book projects.
