Come and Get your Wiggle on!
This year the Cattaraugus County Arts Council celebrates their 20th anniversary! Their annual fundraiser will be a 1920s themed cocktail party at the Bartlett Country Club on April 14th from 6-10pm. You are invited to dress in your best Gatsby, flapper, or Bonnie & Clyde style (but remember costumes are optional!) and come “get your wiggle on” out on the dance floor with a live five-piece band playing 1920s music. This one-night-only band features local musicians Isaac Spaeth on alto sax, Jerry Liacano on guitar, Greg Koontz on piano, Jerry Anderson on drums and Charlotte YerpeStock singing vocals.
In twenties parlance, “get all dolled up, bring your sheba or your sheik and ankle on over – or drive your breezer – to our ritzy juice joint.” Translation: get dressed up, bring your girlfriend or boyfriend and walk on over – or drive your convertible – to our fancy speakeasy. The cocktail party will have heavy hors d’oeuvres, complimentary wine and beer, and mouth-watering desserts. On the program for the evening is the presentation of the Annual Arts & Cultural Awards which recognize the amazing talent in Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties, a silent art auction, and a wine pull where a $20 chance could win you a bottle worth $100!
Come support the Arts & Cultural Award honorees, the artists whose work is in the silent auction and the Cattaraugus County Arts Council. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased online at www.myartscouncil.net or by calling the CCAC office at 716-372-7455. The event is generously sponsored by Erick & Marianne Laine, Paul Brown Motors, Inc., Fox Financial, The Wilday Group at Morgan Stanley, Christie’s Boutique, Hedley Brook Agency, Petruzzi Insurance, and Worth W. Smith Co.
