Each year, CatVideoFest curates a compilation reel of the latest, best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos and, of course, the internet. Screenings take place all over the world in a host of venues and raise money for cats in need, often through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations and shelters.
The 2019 edition of CatVideoFest will be shown at the Opera House; proceeds from the screening will benefit the Opera House and the Lakeshore Humane Society (LHS). A 50/50 style raffle also will benefit both organizations!
In addition to screening the film, the Opera House will serve as a collection point for items always needed by the LHS: clean soft blankets, bleach, cat beds, cat toys, cat scratching posts and boards, Kitten Chow (dry), Purina Cat Complete food (blue bag), copy paper, card stock, disposable gloves, dryer sheets, garbage bags (kitchen and large trash), hand sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, postage stamps, Tidy Cat scoopable Litter, and old clean terrycloth towels.
What better way to spend an afternoon than experiencing the communal joy that comes from watching awe-dorable cat videos?!
