Bollywood is the largest film industry in the world by the sheer number of films that are produced each year. Song and dance are hallmarks of these films. This multi-disciplinary production has a live band, dancers, and multimedia, peppered with stories capturing the artistry, spirit, grandeur, and impact of an industry that has millions of fans across the globe.
The performance gives a glimpse into the evolution of the Hindi language film industry, popularly known as Bollywood, from the 1930s, when the first sound films were created, to today, as the show moves from the era of black-and-white films to color. The music, costumes, choreography, and artwork reflect the essence of each time period. Through the lens of Hindi cinema’s iconic songs, this performance and residency will engage and educate our community about the pioneers, legends, and game changers in Bollywood.
