The Belfast Public Library is excited to announce that, with the support of funding through the Tri-County Arts Council, they will be hosting the 1st annual StoryFest at the Belfast Town Park on July 10 at 9:30am.
The schedule of events includes a workshop that begins at 8:30 for 3rd – 6th graders. Interested participants can pre-register for this workshop online at belfastpubliclibrary.org or by calling 585-365-2072. The event will also feature local author Kevin Coolidge of From My Shelf Books & Gifts in Wellsboro, PA. Seneca storytellers will delight festival attendees with local stories from our region and area historian and activist, Spike Jones will recall events of the Nuke fight and the “Bump the Dump” movement. Finally, Connie Finnie will provide a mix of stories from “The Welsh Aunts” and “Not Much Happens in Conklin Forks.”
Genesee Valley Food Truck, will be set up all day providing snacks and lunch to event attendees.
