Conrad Levenson will present a talk on his career and sculptural designs on Tuesday, October 1st at 4:00 p.m. in the Quick Center’s Theatre Atrium, outside the Front Gallery, 1st Floor of the Museum.
Levenson salvages scrap materials and obsolete objects, re-purposing and recomposing them as works of art, while combining previously unrelated elements in unusual and unexpected ways. His sculptures evoke the former times, places, lives, unique character, and the embedded energy of their source materials. He tells their stories, as he explores and mediates the essential relationship between their form and content.
Ranging in size from the intimate to large scale installations, his sculptures are displayed indoors and out, often in spaces and settings of his own design. The exhibition features 14 pieces from his collection of works.
Free & Open to the Public.
