With a wide variety of pieces, this exhibition shows how textile art can come off the wall and into the third dimension and the future.
Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the art quilt: “a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure.”
Founded in 1989 by an initial group of 50 artists, SAQA now has more than 3,600 members: artists, teachers, collectors, gallery owners, museum curators and corporate sponsors.
