Let your imagination be your guide as we dive into the magical world of Storyland, where all your favorite myths, legends and tall tales come alive! This year, we’re taking you through the worlds of dragon, wizards, fairies and merpeople with an afternoon full of fantastical artventures and activities.
FREE Family Day Activities from 1:00-3:00p.m.
Mermaid Cove:
Explore the mysteries of the deep and create a custom oceanic mobile or transform yourself into a High Seas Adventurer, Mystical Merperson, or Swashbuckling Pirate in our Undersea Atlantis Photo Booth.
Wizard Workshop:
Become a Sorcerer’s Apprentice as you build your own magic wand then practice your spell casting with Shrinky-Dink incantations and potions making with witch’s brew slime…By your mind’s creation, oh’ what wonders shall you do?
Dragon’s Den
Enter if you dare to see if you can tame the mighty beasts of legend found in various cultures throughout the world. Construct your own fire breathing friend, design your own Chinese dragon scratch art talisman and take a picture with our good luck statue.
Fairy Garden Forest
Enter the mystical world of fairies, elves, goblins, gnomes, pixies & trolls! Build a 3D gnome home puzzle complete with customizable stickers, design a floral crown fit for magical royalty or create a nature terrarium to house any mischievous, otherworldly friends who may make a pit-stop in your home.
FREE Theater Performance from 3:00-4:00p.m. in the Rigas Family Theater
Theaterworks USA production of: “Dragons Love Tacos & Other Stories”
A musical revue of beloved contemporary children’s books. Dragons love all sorts of tacos — chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. So if you want to lure a bunch of dragons to your party, you should definitely serve tacos. Easy on the salsa, though, because dragons do not like spicy tacos!
All activities are open to the public at no charge, thanks to a generous grant from the Cutco Foundation.
